The Starbucks Spinach Feta Wrap, Made Better at Home
Double the protein, triple the fiber, and a third of the carbs of the original, ready in ten minutes
I’ve lost over 90 pounds, and breakfasts like this one are a big part of how I’ve kept it off. Not sad breakfasts. Not tiny breakfasts. Breakfasts that taste like something I’d happily pay six dollars for at a drive-through, except this one costs a fraction of that and works so much harder for you.
The Starbucks spinach feta wrap has been my order more times than I can count, so I finally made my own version at home. Mine has roughly double the protein, about three times the fiber, and around a third of the carbs of the original. It takes maybe ten minutes, and honestly, it tastes just like it.
Why This Works
The original wrap is good, but it leans light on protein and fiber, which means you’re hungry again by 10 a.m. My version fixes both problems without changing the flavor you love.
Blending cottage cheese into the eggs makes them creamy and adds a quiet protein boost you can’t taste. A serving of collagen peptides disappears into the mixture completely while supporting your hair, skin, and nails. And the high-fiber tortilla does heavy lifting here, bringing 17 grams of fiber on its own. That protein and fiber combination is what keeps your blood sugar steady and your appetite calm all morning.
I also add mashed avocado, which is not in the Starbucks version, but the healthy fats and extra fiber make the wrap creamier and even more satisfying. Consider it my one upgrade.
Macro Snapshot
These are my estimates based on the brands I use. Always check your own labels.
Protein: roughly double the Starbucks original, thanks to the eggs, cottage cheese, collagen, and feta
Fiber: around three times the original, with 17 grams from the tortilla alone
Carbs: about one third of the original
The Recipe
Makes 1 wrap
Ingredients
2 eggs
2 to 3 tablespoons cottage cheese (I use Good Culture double cream)
1 serving collagen peptides (optional)
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon oil from the sun-dried tomato jar
1 handful fresh spinach
2 tablespoons sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
2 tablespoons crumbled feta
1 high-fiber tortilla (I use Mission Carb Balance, 17g fiber)
2 tablespoons mashed avocado
Instructions
Add the eggs, cottage cheese, collagen peptides if using, oregano, salt, and pepper to a blender and blend until smooth. You can also whisk everything together in a bowl if you’d rather skip the blender.
Heat a teaspoon of the oil from your sun-dried tomato jar in a skillet over medium heat. That oil is packed with flavor, so don’t let it go to waste.
Add the spinach and sun-dried tomatoes to the skillet and let the spinach wilt slightly.
Pour the egg mixture over the top and sprinkle on the crumbled feta. Cook until the eggs are just set.
Warm your tortilla and spread the mashed avocado across the center.
Slide the egg mixture onto the tortilla. It should fit perfectly.
Fold in the sides and wrap it up. That’s it.
Thrive Tip
If your mornings usually start with something carb-heavy and light on protein, this wrap is an easy place to start changing that. Aiming for 25 to 40 grams of protein at breakfast is one of the most reliable ways to keep your blood sugar stable through the morning, which means fewer cravings, steadier energy, and no desperate 10 a.m. snack hunt. You don’t have to overhaul your whole day. Start with breakfast and let the rest follow.
How to Serve It
Straight out of the pan on a busy weekday morning
Sliced in half with fresh berries on the side for extra fiber
Wrapped in foil and taken to go, just like the drive-through version
With a side of Greek yogurt if you want to push your protein even higher
Make It Your Own
Swap the feta for goat cheese if you prefer a milder tang
Use kale instead of spinach, just give it an extra minute in the pan
Skip the avocado if you’re keeping it closer to the original
Add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the egg mixture if you like a little heat
No blender? A bowl and a whisk work fine, the texture will just be slightly less fluffy
I love a good copycat recipe, but I love it even more when the homemade version genuinely takes better care of you. This one does. Make it once and I have a feeling your Starbucks order is about to get lonely.
